Raumzeit is the german word for spacetime. In physics, spacetime (or space–time) is any mathematical model that combines space and time into a single continuum. Spacetime is usually interpreted with space being three-dimensional and time playing the role of a fourth dimension. While spacetime can be viewed as a consequence of Albert Einstein’s 1905 theory of special relativity, it was first explicitly proposed mathematically by one of his teachers, the mathematician Hermann Minkowski, in a 1908 essay building on and extending Einstein’s work. Raumzeitaus-schnitt means cut-out of spacetime and I think, a photograph is like an cut-out of spacetime.
My name is Thomas Nicol and I am an physisist and amateur photographer from Erfurt, Thuringia, Germany. When I was about 15, I got my first SLR, a Dresden Exa 1A. In the early 90ies I became an Internet-junkie. In 2005 the digital revolution in photography reached me and so I bought a DSLR. I think, photobloging ist the perfect combination of my two hobbys. Please, feel free to leave remarks and any kind of criticism. Thanks all for visiting! For now, please just enjoy the photos.
